KinDojo Terms of Service

KINDOJO LLC. Effective date: October 19, 2026. Replaces the terms dated August 3, 2026.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a contract between you and KINDOJO LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("KINDOJO LLC," "we," or "us"). They govern your use of the KinDojo application, including its content, functionality, and services, whether used in a web browser, installed to a device's home screen, or downloaded from an app store (the "App"), and of the website at kindojo.com.

By creating an account or using the App, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, including its children's privacy section, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the App.

2. The parent is the contracting party

Only an adult may enter into this agreement. By creating a parent account you represent that you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to form a binding contract, reside in the United States or its territories, and are the parent or legal guardian of each child for whom you create a profile.

Children cannot agree to these Terms and do not. Children may use the App only through profiles you create and control, as authorized users under your account. You are responsible for your children's use of the App, you accept these Terms on behalf of your household, and you agree to supervise your children's use in your own judgment as their parent or guardian.

3. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the effective date at the top of this page shows when that was. Material changes will be announced by a notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

4. Access and account security

We may withdraw or change the App, or any part of it, at any time without notice, and we will not be liable if any part of the App is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for arranging your own access to the App and for making sure that everyone who uses the App through your family, including your children and any co-parent you invite, knows about and follows these Terms. You agree that the information you provide is accurate, including your representation that you are the parent or legal guardian of each child you enroll.

Keep your password, your children's PINs, and your family code confidential. The family code lets another adult ask to join your family as a co-parent with full parental controls; you are responsible for whom you share it with and whom you approve. Tell us right away at support@kindojo.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may disable any account at any time if, in our judgment, these Terms have been violated.

5. Virtual currency and in-game items

The App includes virtual currency ("coins"), experience points, levels, streaks and streak freezes, Dojo Points and belts, and virtual items such as fighters, equipment, and sidekicks (together, "Virtual Items"). Virtual Items:

• have no cash or real-world value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be sold, transferred outside your family's game, or exchanged for anything outside the App;
• are licensed to you for use within the App, not sold; you receive a limited, revocable license and acquire no ownership interest;
• may be changed at any time: we may adjust, rebalance, or reset game values, including earning rates, prices, streaks, and item attributes, to maintain the game, and such changes are not a loss to you; and
• are non-refundable. We have no obligation to provide refunds, compensation, or exchanges for Virtual Items for any reason, including account termination or discontinuation of the App.

Parents can grant, adjust, and reverse Virtual Item balances within their own family through the App's parental controls. Those adjustments are between you and your child.

6. Rewards are your commitment, not ours

The App lets parents define real-world rewards, such as a toy, an outing, or a privilege, that children can request using coins. All such rewards are offered, approved, and delivered solely by the parent. KINDOJO LLC is not a party to any reward. We do not sell, supply, deliver, or guarantee any real-world reward, and we have no responsibility for whether, when, or how a reward is delivered, or for its quality, safety, or suitability for your child. The App's reward and "owed" tracking features are record-keeping tools provided for your convenience.

Reward entries may contain links to third-party retail websites. Links are provided for convenience; any purchase you make from a retailer is between you and that retailer and is governed by the retailer's terms. Some links we provide are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. KINDOJO LLC participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, KINDOJO LLC earns from qualifying purchases.

The App is free to use. We do not sell subscriptions or in-app purchases, we do not display third-party advertising, and we do not use email or push notifications for marketing.

7. Not professional advice

The App is a family habit-tracking game. Its content, including habit suggestions, difficulty ratings, streaks, statistics, and dashboards, is provided for general informational and motivational purposes only and is not medical, psychological, educational, or other professional advice. We do not promise that using the App will produce any particular behavioral or developmental outcome. Any reliance you place on information in the App is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual property

The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality, including all software, text, displays, images, video, audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement of them, are owned by KINDOJO LLC, its licensors, or other providers of that material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

These Terms permit you to use the App for your personal, household, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, republish, or transmit any material from the App, except as incidental to normal personal use, such as your device's temporary copies and the App's offline storage. If you use any part of the App in breach of these Terms, your right to use the App ends immediately. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

The name "KinDojo" and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of KINDOJO LLC. You must not use them without our prior written permission. All other names and marks in the App belong to their respective owners.

9. Your family content

The App has no public areas, message boards, chat, or other social features. Nothing you or your children enter is visible to anyone outside your own family.

You may enter content into the App for your family's use, such as habit names, reward names and descriptions, and uploaded or linked reward images ("Family Content"). You retain ownership of your Family Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your Family Content solely to operate the App for your family and, for product links you add to rewards, to review the product for possible inclusion in a gallery of suggested rewards as described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights to your Family Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. Because your children will see it, you agree that Family Content will not contain material that is obscene, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate for children. We may remove Family Content that violates these Terms. If you believe material in the App infringes your copyright, contact privacy@kindojo.com.

10. Prohibited uses

You may use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the App:

• in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
• to exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way, including by enrolling a child of whom you are not the parent or legal guardian;
• to impersonate KINDOJO LLC, another user, or any other person or entity; or
• in any way that restricts or interferes with anyone else's use of the App or that could harm KINDOJO LLC or its users.

You also agree not to: use any automated means to access the App; attempt to defeat its security measures, including sign-in protection, or to manipulate game systems outside of normal play; introduce malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or to data belonging to other families; or attack the App through a denial-of-service attack or otherwise interfere with its proper working.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the App for any reason, including a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time, and may delete child profiles and your own account as described in the Privacy Policy. On termination, all licenses granted to you end, including your license to Virtual Items, and Sections 5 through 8 and 12 through 18 survive.

12. Your information

All information we collect through the App is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App you consent to the actions we take with your information in accordance with that policy.

13. Links from the App

Where the App contains links to third-party websites, including reward links to retail websites, those links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them. If you follow a link, you do so at your own risk and subject to that site's terms.

14. Geographic restrictions

KINDOJO LLC is based in the State of Washington in the United States, and we provide the App for use only by persons located in the United States. We make no claim that the App is appropriate or available outside the United States. If you access the App from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

YOUR USE OF THE APP, ITS CONTENT, AND ANY SERVICES OR ITEMS OBTAINED THROUGH THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. NEITHER KINDOJO LLC NOR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH IT MAKES ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION ABOUT THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE APP, INCLUDING THE CONTINUED AVAILABILITY OF ANY GAME PROGRESS, VIRTUAL ITEMS, OR RECORDS STORED IN THE APP, OR THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE APP OR ITS SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PROVIDED BY LAW, KINDOJO LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT ANY WARRANTIES THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PROVIDED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL KINDOJO LLC OR ITS MEMBERS, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, OR DIRECTORS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP, ANY WEBSITE LINKED FROM IT, OR ANY CONTENT IN THE APP, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF GAME PROGRESS OR VIRTUAL ITEMS, OR ANY REAL-WORLD REWARD OFFERED, DELIVERED, OR NOT DELIVERED BY A PARENT, AND INCLUDING ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, WHETHER CAUSED BY TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE.

This limitation does not apply to liability resulting from our gross negligence or willful misconduct, and does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KINDOJO LLC, its members, licensors, and service providers, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the App, including your Family Content, your children's use of the App under your account, and any rewards you offer or deliver.

18. Governing law, disputes, and general terms

These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from the App are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action arising out of these Terms or the App shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Spokane County, Washington, and you waive any objection to jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

ANY CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE YEAR AFTER THE CLAIM ACCRUES; OTHERWISE IT IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.

No waiver by KINDOJO LLC of any term is a continuing waiver of that term or a waiver of any other term, and our failure to assert a right under these Terms does not waive it. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and KINDOJO LLC regarding the App and supersede all prior understandings, written or oral, regarding the App.
